By | October 24th, 2013|Categories: Speakers - Headmania|Tags: , , , , , , , , , |

Hey guys,

I remember how when I was a kid, I craved for a speaker system like Logitech Z-5500 and for it’s huge but bloated and uncontrolled bass quantity. Today I couldn’t listen to them as they don’t have a balanced sound at all in my opinion.

However, until now, I did’t find a budget  speaker system that could suit my needs.

Well, I think I hit the jackpot with the new Indiana Line Nota series.

Indiana Line has been founded in 1977 and since then has been working on providing good sound accompanied by appealing designs and at budget prices.… Read the full article

Monarch_loft_lores

There’s a big hole in the OMA NYC showroom right now. The Monarchs flew out the door last Thursday. Columbia Pictures is remaking the movie Annie, and the film’s set decorator wanted them for the penthouse apartment of the tech billionaire Stax, who I understand replaces Daddy Warbucks, at least in name. The speakers were trucked right to World Trade Center Tower #1, which is still unfinished. The filmmakers got the whole 55th floor to make into the Stax set, where I hope the Monarch’s play at least a walk on role.… Read the full article

FiiO X3 – Review

By | October 15th, 2013|Categories: DAC - Headmania|Tags: , , , , , , , |

Hey guys,

I have stressed for some time now on what phone I would get that has decent sound. At first I got the Galaxy S1 that had a Wolfson Dac and combined with Voodoo Sound I got decent playback.

Recently I got a Galaxy S4 knowing it has a Wolfson Dac too but I didn’t notice the European version didn’t have it, and I don’t like the sound on it.

I didn’t want to go for an Ipod or something similar because It didn’t find them to sound better than my S1 (which i kept just for music).… Read the full article

FiiO E12 Mont Blanc – Review

By | October 14th, 2013|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , |

Hey guys,

I had my eyes on FiiO E12 for a long time now, since I’ve seen the little fellow at Sandu’s place. I remember I tried it with LCD-2 at that time and it could drive them quite nicely.

That was amazing coming from that little black box.

After that, I looked up the specs and was pleasantly surprised to see that the output power is > 880 mW @ 32 Ohms, which is pretty impressive coming from a portable amplifier powered by battery and at that size ( 124 x 65.5 x 14.5 mm )

E12 uses OPA1611 and LME49600 OPAMP combination.… Read the full article
