New Sonos Amp Is a Wireless Wonder

By | August 29th, 2018|Categories: Sound + Vision|

Less than a week before the CEDIA Expo 2018 is set to begin in San Diego, Sonos has taken the wraps off of the company’s all-new Amp. Replacing the CONNECT:AMP, one of Sonos’s earliest products (originally called the ZP120) that has been in its lineup for 12 years, the Sonos Amp is more than twice as powerful (125 watts per channel) and features an entirely revamped design—both on the inside and the outside—enabling it to be used in more custom applications (including powering up to 4 speakers in stereo or mono, a feature often requested by custom integrators) and within more decors (as well as AV racks) than its predecessor.

Audio Note M9 RIAA Signature phono stage Review, Part 1

By | August 29th, 2018|Categories: Dagogo|Tags: , , |

Introduction

About six months after I reviewed and subsequently purchased the Audio Note M10 Special Edition Line Stage, AN asked whether I had any interest in reviewing their top of the line phono stage which, in their opinion, represents an ideal match to their M10 SE line stage. In their words, no expense had been spared in trying to get the most natural sound. The price was quoted at 110,000 British pounds sterling (approximately the same price as a Porsche 911 Carrera S).

KIH #60 – Nurse!

By | August 29th, 2018|Categories: DAR|Tags: , , |

In your strange bed, you feel like crap. That’s because the bed is in a sterile hospital room, lights biting in bright staccato neon. Just now the doctor saunters in. He is swarmed by a group of interns. A curt nod acknowledges your existence. Then he turns to the flushed acolytes. They begin discussing you in shiny but incomprehensible words of an alien language. The ‘you’ they fumble to analyse is clearly just this blob of aching flesh. Apparently, something with its neural wiring has malfunctioned.… Read the full article

Sonos Amp revealed – new, redesigned amp for the connected age

By | August 29th, 2018|Categories: TechRadar|

Sonos has used IFA 2018 to announce a brand-new product and reveal that it is opening up its API, in the hope that it will be the center of your smart home.

It has an HDMI port on the back as well as audio inputs, so you can power your vinyl collection with it.

It will support AirPlay 2 and has a new form factor and design which allows it to fit inside a rack configuration and can be mounted, or exhibited on furniture.

The Sonos Connect Amp has been around for over 10 years now, so Sonos has redesigned the device and added more power in the form of 120 watts per channel.

Sonos smarts
