Magnepan MG30.7 Arrives!

Australian Magnepan distributor McLeans Smarter Home Entertainment has announced that the mighty Magnepan MB30.7 four-panel, four-way, ribbon/quasi-ribbon line source loudspeaker from Magnepan is now available in Australia.

The 30.7 is Magnepan’s first-ever four-way speaker. The left and right channel woofer/lower-midrange panels are each comprised of two (differently sized) rectangular ribbon-type planar bass drivers that both have front and rear magnet arrays in order to increase efficiency and minimise distortion. 

The left and right-channel upper-midrange/high-frequency panels are designed to stand beside and a little behind their companion bass panels, use Magnepan’s signature pure-ribbon linear tweeter, which is juxtaposed with a quasi-ribbon-type planar midrange driver.… Read the full article

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 could go all the way up to 45W fast charging

We're eagerly awaiting the official arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, expected to arrive in August, but until that happens we've got plenty of leaks and rumors to go on – including talk of 45W fast charging.

We've previously heard that the Note 10 is going to bring some rapid charging to the table, but up until now we haven't been sure just how rapid it would be.

Aries Cerat impresses in Munich | High End 2019

High-End 2019 show coverage brought to you by Core Power Technologies

This could have also been entitled Horns the European way mk3, as I have already covered Cassaro and Tune Audio for this year’s Munich show. Aries Cerat comes from Cyprus and they offer cost no object electronics and speakers for an almost complete system. Cables came from British/ Greek manufacturer Signal Projects while Rui Borges of Portugal chimed in with a big turntable and a Top Wing Red Sparrow MC cartridge mounted on Thales tonearm, the only non European component was the cartridge.
