macOS Catalina: macOS 10.15 release date, news and features

The release of macOS Catalina – the official name for macOS 10.15 – is almost here, and we should see it on our Macs by October 2019.

Apple first unveiled macOS Catalina at its WWDC 2019 conference in San Jose, California earlier this year, during which the company highlighted some of the exciting new features that macOS Catalina has to offer, including the nifty capability to use an iPad as a secondary screen.

Free Games with Prime: the free PC games on Twitch Prime in June 2019

Amazon Prime has a number of services you might already know and love. There's the free two-day delivery, a music streaming service and a video streaming service that all come with your subscription. But there's also free games. Yes, that’s right. Free games.

My friend Chris brought over a stack of Sound Technology gear that had seen very little use over the years. The ST1200A Stereo Tesst Panel  is the first piece of gear we tested and it seemed to function without issue but true test is after the other pieces are connected. Working on test gear is way more complicated than old tube amps…

The ST1700B Distortion Measurement System is not functioning. Chris found a handful of old electrolytics that need to be replaced I will be expert at the end of this one.… Read the full article

NAD Licences Purifi Tech

Canadian electronics manufacturer NAD will be using Danish company Purifi’s new Eigentakt Class-D amplifier modules to create a ‘next-generation’ amplifier platform for NAD. 

Although Purifi is a new company (established 2017) its founders, Bruno Putzeys (Philips, Hypex, Kii Audio), Lars Risbo (Toccata Technology, Texas Instruments), and Peter Lyngdorf (Hi-Fi Klubben, TacT, Dali, NAD, Snell, AudioNord, Steinway-Lyngdorf) are all household names in the audio industry.
