Review: Shuoer Tape – “Reel Performance”

By | November 17th, 2019|Categories: Headfonia|Tags: , , , , |

Today we’ll be taking a look at an interesting new product from another Chinese manufacturer, the Shuoer Tape, a low-voltage electrostatic IEM. It sells for only $129 USD, but it impresses.
Disclaimer: the Shuoer Tape was sent to us by distributor Linsoul in exchange for our honest thoughts and opinions.

The original ‘Walkman’ revolutionized portable audio when it was first unveiled by Sony back in 1979. Cassette technology gave music fans the ability to experience previously unheard-of sound quality at a genuinely achievable price, and it truly took music to the masses.Read the full article

Why him? Why not! RIding high on the release of his second solo album, Liam Gallagher ponders what it means to be himself 25 years on from Oasis’ breakout album.

Words by Emily Swanson.

For all you’ve heard about Liam Gallagher, he’s quick to own up to his weaknesses. Everyone knows he was in the seminal British rock group Oasis – he’s just not the one who wrote “Live Forever” or “Wonderwall”, nor is he the one who delivered the psychedelic solo that rips through the latter half of “Champagne Supernova”.… Read the full article

Gigabyte unleashes Aorus Radeon RX 5700 XT with Silent Mode

By | November 17th, 2019|Categories: TechRadar|

Gigabyte has released yet another variant to the Radeon RX 5700 XT, AMD’s reference GPU (graphics cards), and it’s boosted with more features than the last. Over the weekend, the Taiwanese manufacturer unleashed the Aorus Radeon RX 5700 XT 8G, which is basically Radeon RX 5700 XT on steroids.

It’s been months since the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT hit the streets, and the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G has also been out for a while. However, considering the graphics card’s success, delivering excellent 1440p gaming performance and a number of forward-looking feature, you can hardly blame Gigabyte for capitalizing on its success.… Read the full article

The annual Camera Magazine Imaging Awards recognise excellence in the design and execution of imaging products. This year there are ten categories and to be eligible, products had to go on sale around Australia from 1 October 2018 to 30 September 2019. Our fixed lens camera category included everything from superzoom models to ruggedised compacts, but in the end a modern-day classic won the day.

Fixed Lens Camera Winner: Leica Q2

Even without its Leica badge, the original Q was a superb camera, combining style, features and performance in a hugely desirable package.… Read the full article

Craft Records Reissues on Vinyl Creedence Clearwater Classics Green River and Willy and The Poorboys

By | November 17th, 2019|Categories: Analog planet|

Though you could argue that Bayou Country containing “Proud Mary” and “Born on the Bayou” was a better album, I’m going with Green River as a stronger, more consistent overall album (you remember albums, don’t you?), which also had some hits like “Bad Moon Rising” (with it’s refrain “there’s a bathroom on the right”), “Lodi”, which at the time made me wonder why Fogerty was writing about New Jersey and of course the title tune. In retrospect, despite the New Orleans musical setting, much of what Fogerty wrote was about his life growing up in Berkeley, Calfornia.
