Eastwood Hi-Fi has secured a bulk lot of Tannoy speakers from the Australian distributor which no longer distributes them, and is running them out at insane prices…
According to Steve Neil, owner of Eastwood Hi-Fi, most are brand-new in sealed cartons, but some were used as demonstrator models. All the speakers come with a 10-year warranty and the subwoofers with a 2-year warranty. In a blast from the past, Tannoy has resurrected its famous Arden, Cheviot and Eaton designs from the 1970s, using new dual-concentric drivers and 2017 crossover components.
All three models will be made by hand in Coatbridge, Scotland, and every pair will come with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the people responsible for building them. The Arden has a 381mm dual concentric driver, the Cheviot a 305mm concentric and the Eaton a 254mm dual concentric. All three are based on 1974 HPD technology.… Read the full article
