The Australian Institute Of Professional Photography (AIPP) and Leica Camera Australia (LCAU) have announced that Leica had signed on as Platinum Sponsors of the AIPP APPA Awards.
The AIPP has over 3200 members from all areas of Australia with membership categories ranging from student member, to the ultimate membership, that of an Accredited Professional.
Leica says that this long-term partnership is a co-operation with shared values, which will see both photographic leaders combining their shared ethos in a long-term commitment to promote the art of photography and all of the experiences surrounding it.
Peter Myers, Executive Officer of the AIPP said: “We’re excited to be working with Leica who share our philosophy of working together for the benefit of the professional image making community in Australia. Leica is a legend in the world of photography and a brand founded on a long tradition of innovation, precision and craftsmanship. APPA itself has rightly gained a similar legendary status within the professional photography community. We are more confident than ever that APPA will continue to evolve and go from strength to strength with the ever growing involvement of our members and the continuing support of our committed trade partners”.
Ryan Williams, Managing Director of Leica Camera Australia said: “At Leica we are passionately supportive of photography, and the photographic industry as a whole. Each year the APPA produces the most prestigious collective of photographic works from the best professional photographers in Australia. We are very proud to sign on as a Platinum Sponsor of the AIPP APPA awards and look forward to a long and rewarding partnership.”
