Salt Lake City, UT (11/8/2018) – Founded in 2006, Studio Electric is run by managing partner David MacPherson. David’s background is in professional speaker development and according to him, there are thousands of speakers designed by him in use by professionals around the world.

A highlight of the aspiration of David is the spherical T2 ($16,500 per pair). Launched in the same year as the company’s founding, the T2 is a floor-standing, full-range construct of stainless steel and aluminum. It is a triumph in integrating a high-quality mid/woofer driver within a sphere.

Metaxas Marquis headphone amplifier/preamplifier

October 31, 2018 – Parker, Colorado: Amsterdam-based high-end audio manufacturer Metaxas, represented in the U.S. by Aaudio Imports, manufactures a complete system of electronics and speakers. Among them is a headphone amp/preamp christened, ‘Marquis.’

Priced at $6,750, the Marquis comes in a CNC-machined aluminum block in the shape of a human skull, available in one of ten aluminum colors or automotive paint finishes.

The Marquis’ CNC-machined base encloses the power supply to keep all stray RFI and noise from the delicate, low-level signal stages, with optional rechargeable battery pack for over 5 hours of use.
