That's according to Twitter leaker @New_WabiSabi who posted the following tweets this week:

Now, that's not a hell of a lot to go on, with @New_WabiSabi expanding to say that prior rumors of the game, featuring the extended Bat family as playable characters, is 'legit'.… Read the full article

By | October 21st, 2019|Categories: TechRadar|

Ready to descend into the demonic depths of dingy dungeons in search of legendary loot? Good – because it seems Diablo 4 is almost ready to go.

German magazine Game Star has found a listing for a new tome called The Art of Diablo, which contains “more than 500 artworks from Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Diablo 4.”

Being an official tie-in title (with its co-author being Robert Brooks, one of Blizzard's senior writers) it seems likely to be a series-spanning look at the ARPG series, right up to and including the as-yet-unannounced fourth game.

Baldur’s Gate for Nintendo Switch is a dungeon master: CRPG port is magical

By | October 15th, 2019|Categories: TechRadar|

“There’s no way Baldur’s Gate is going to work on Nintendo Switch,” was the general consensus in the TechRadar office when Skybound Games and Beamdog announced they were porting a selection of classic PC role-playing games to Nintendo’s handheld.

Thankfully, our doubts were unfounded – from Baldur’s Gate to Planescape Torment, these ports are magical.

For the uninitiated, Skybound Games and Beamdog have been working together for some time reviving yesteryear’s isometric PC RPGs from the likes of Bioware and Black Isle Studios.… Read the full article

The LG G8X ThinQ has a secret weapon that makes it a gaming beast

By | September 14th, 2019|Categories: TechRadar|

First, a quick disclaimer: I'm the world's biggest (read: outside of Korea, possibly only) LG smartphone fan. Or at least that's sometimes how it feels in the world of tech.

While the masses sing the praises of Apple, Samsung and Huawei handsets, I sit quietly fawning over my LG G7 ThinQ, gazing longingly at its modest spec sheet with the "that'll do pig" pride of the farmer from Babe.

But I might have an actual winner on my hands this year: the LG G8X ThinQ, revealed at IFA 2019, might be the best handset for gamers out there.… Read the full article

Anthem hits EA Access subscription service in an attempt to revitalise the RPG

By | September 13th, 2019|Categories: TechRadar|

Normally when a game hits the EA Access service, it's something of a victory lap – an opportunity for a well-received game to reach a new audience through the medium of a subscription service. But it's a different story for Anthem.

EA has announced that Bioware's looter shooter is headed to EA Access and the PC's Origin Access subscribers.

But rather than this representing an opportunity to wring the rag dry of any potential players, for Anthem it's perhaps a final opportunity to court a substantial audience of any kind.… Read the full article
