Beats by Dr Dre has launched a ‘Decade Collection’ comprised of the Beats Studio3 Wireless over-ear headphones, Beats Solo3 Wireless on-ear headphones, BeatsX wireless earphones, Powerbeats3 Wireless earphones and urBeats3 earphones, all of which have exterior designs that feature red accents over a matte black background… and, of course, the familiar lower-case ‘b’.

Despite gaining critical attention for some models, which some reviewers claimed exhibited prominent bass and treble response, and for their high retail prices in relation to similarly-styled products, Beats gained a 64 per cent market share in the USA for headphones priced higher than $100 (according to research by The NPD Group, Inc.) The company has also gained attention for its legal battles with both Bose and Monster.
