PMC UK Introduces The Bryston SP4 Surround Processor

PMC, Bryston’s UK distributor is introducing the SP4 surround processor to the UK high-end home cinema market.

The SP4 is a 16-channel processor that comes with 16 assignable XLR outputs and two additional dedicated downmix outputs. It is expandable to a 32-channel system via a set of 16 optional RCA sockets, enabling the SP4 to run two parallel 16 channel systems, for the ultimate in home cinema experiences. AudioSolutions Distribution at Connaisseur-AV

Connaisseur-AV have been in touch with Hifi Pig to tell us about their new distribution deal with  the Lithuanian brand AudioSolutions for the following markets: Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

 Owned and founded in 2011 by the speaker engineer Gediminas Gaidelis, AudioSolutions speakers are produced and manufactured in Vilnius, Lithuania. The first line of the AudioSolutions range is called Overture. This line is specially designed to be a series of cost effective speakers with a classic design.

New Sound Bar From Wharfedale

Wharfedale’s new Vista 200 stereo soundbar has a low-profile design and costs £150. It’s 90cm in length and just 6.2cm high, its long and slender form sits unobtrusively beneath the screen or can be wall mounted with the included bracket.

Nestling behind the metal speaker grille is a pair of dynamic driver assemblies augmented by two reflex ports to aid bass response. These drivers are powered by 2x30W stereo amplification and in addition, three equaliser settings labelled ‘Movie’, ‘Music’ and ‘News’ provide a degree of sonic tailoring to suit whatever the user is watching or listening to.

Black Rhodium Launches New 75 Ohm Digital Cable Range

British cable manufacturer, Black Rhodium, has launched a new range of 75 Ohm digital cables.

Adagio is a 75 Ohm cable designed for digital audio that, though it looks very different, has a technical specification is identical to a cable Black Rhodium manufactured over 15 years ago. Allegretto is a 75 Ohm cable designed for digital audio based on the Allegro cable. Design upgrades include additional tightly braided RFI screen and a higher mass Vibration Stabiliser.

Legato is a 75 Ohm cable designed for digital audio based on the use of RFI screening layers to minimise distortion of the audio signal.

New Hifi Shop HifiPilot UK Opens

HifiPilot is a brand new collaboration between two audio companies, IOTAVX from Middlesbrough (UK) and XTZ from Torup (Sweden).

Both brands operate as direct sales companies and have formed a collaboration in the UK under the name HifiPilot UK. IOTAVX, who were founded in Middlesbrough, specialise in audio and AV electronics and the Swedish brand XTZ in loudspeakers and subwoofers for audio and AV set ups.

HifiPilot UK is an online site but there is also a showroom in Middlesbrough so that customers can listen before they buy.

New Active In Ceiling Speakers From Taga Harmony

TAGA Harmony have launched their newest series of in-ceiling active speakers with the first model in the line, the RB-1650BT.

The RB-1650BT is a 2 x 30W RMS active speaker paired with a passive one. It allows an audio installation where you can stream music wirelessly via Bluetooth® (music and the Internet radio) or wired via the additional stereo line input (RCA / 3.5mm).

Professional electronics engineer Graham Slee has been involved in circuit design, manufacturing research and development, broadcast audio and high fidelity since 1974. In 1998 he established the company Graham Slee Projects Ltd to manufacture and market his designs of phono pre-amplifers and headphone amplifiers.
