Fiil Diva Pro Headphones Review

By | November 21st, 2016|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , , , |

I love that the headphone market is starting to get the attention it deserves. I see new companies that get into the game quite often in the last period.

Actually, the headphone in this review is a new project on kickstarter founded by Fiil.

Presentation and Specs

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was a small but classy and well built carrying case. The headphones themselves seem to be very well but elegantly built. Actually, they feel and look like a premium headphone.… Read the full article

By | November 21st, 2016|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , |

Ok, I must admit that the Ele Whisper took me by surprise and while I don’t like to judge a product by the price, well… I must admit that my initial expectations of these headphones weren’t so big.

Audioquest Dragonfly Red – Review

By | October 4th, 2016|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , |

When I’ve seen the first Dragonfly originally released in 2012, I was like “What is it with this little USB drive?” I was really skeptical it can sound good, only to be astonished afterwards in my listening sessions with it.

Meanwhile, Audioquest wanted to release 2 versions of the initial Dragonfly that are even more portable than the first. Well, how could it be more portable? Is it even smaller? No, but the new versions can be used with Android and Apple devices now.… Read the full article

Aune B1 Class A Portable Headphone Amplifier

By | June 22nd, 2016|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , |

This good looking amplifier managed to catch my attention at Canjam this year through its build quality, looks and of course its sound. I have managed to get a review unit with the courtesy of avmall.ro so here we are.

Introduction and Specs

The first things that caught my eyes were the build quality and the design of the unit and I must say that I love both. It’s a handsom and sturdy brick of well finished metal. I also love the 2 little glasses that give you the posibility of looking inside the clean and symmetrical circuits for each channel.… Read the full article

FiiO X7 – Review

By | January 10th, 2016|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , |

FiiO always amazed with their products and the quality they were capable of in their price range, so I was very anxious to hear their new flagship since the day I’ve first heard of it, almost two years ago.

FiiO X7 Review (5)

Introduction & Specs

FiiO X7 impressed me even with its looks and feel from the first moment, presenting a very appealing design and good / sturdy build quality.

The unit runs on a Android 4.4 platform on a hardware platform that contains a quad-core Cortex A9 (RK3188 SoC) CPU running at 1.4 GHz, 1 Gb of RAM and 32GB ROM(27 available for the user).… Read the full article

FiiO X3 II – Review

By | May 22nd, 2015|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , |

I’ve been expecting the updated version of X3 for a while now. Since I’ve reviewed FiiO X1 and liked it more than X3, I was already sure that the latter will be replaced by an updated version soon.

Well the time is here as the second generation X3 is here, ready to be reviewed.

Introduction

FiiO X3 2 Review (7)

At the first glance, it looks very similar to X1, but it has a sturdier build quality. Even the user experienced was improved, especially by the rubber menu wheel which is considerably more precise and easier to use overall, quite better than the one in X5 actually.… Read the full article

FiiO X1 – Review

By | November 27th, 2014|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , |

Recently I’ve got my hands on the new FiiO X1. If you’ve read my review of FiiO X5, you would know that I was really impressed with it. Actually, even if it was on buy list since I’ve first listened to it, I just managed to get one for myself, just in time to compare it to X1.

When I saw the price of the new X1, I thought it would sound something like FiiO E10, and surely below FiiO X3.… Read the full article

HRT microStreamer – Review

By | October 7th, 2014|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , |

One of my friends insisted on making me listen to this little device, so he lent it to me for some time. It’s been a while now since I’ve had it. Sorry man, it was your fault you gave me such a nice product.

When I saw it for the first time, I was very skeptical it would impress me in any way, as it seemed too small to achieve that. As you may imagine, you haven’t read this intro if I wouldn’t have been impressed.… Read the full article

The end of wallet: AKG K550, Creative Aurvana Live and FIIO E17

By | January 19th, 2013|Categories: Portable - Headmania|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , |

Hello guys!

So…my dream system was completed. I had a very good pair of headphones (Audeze LCD2), the one I dreamed about for one year, and I recently got a really good source and really good amplifier for it (Burson Conductor). I was really pleased with all I had:

Success Grandpa

However, after a while…i realized that , even though at home I had my dream system, at work I didn’t have anything to listen to…and that started to bother me.… Read the full article
