Synergy Audio Visual is now the official Australian distributor for both Mobile Fidelity Electronics and Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab.
US-based company Mobile Fidelity (known as MoFi) has two divisions. Mobile Fidelity Electronics manufactures turntables, phono cartridges, phono preamplifiers and accessories. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab specialising in recording and pressing high-quality audiophile recordings on LP and SACD, as well as recording for hi-res music applications

Mobile Fidelity recordings will be available from September 2017, and MoFi turntables, cartridges, preamps and accessories will go on-sale in October 2017.
The first turntable to go on-sale in October will be the MoFi UltraDeck turntable [pictured above] which comes pre-fitted with a Mo-Fi Ultratracker phono cartridge. It will retail for $3,099 (RRP). The UltraDeck was designed for MoFi by Allen Perkins (Spiral Groove) and is manufactured in Ann Arbour, Michigan, in the USA. It has a 254mm damped aluminium tonearm with adjustable azimuth, a constrained-layer Delrin platter that runs on an inverted bearing and is belt-driven by an a.c. synchronous motor via a Delrin pulley. The feet on the UltraDeck are special hydraulic isolation types made for MoFi by Mike Latvis. The Latvis isolation feet will also be available from Synergy to replace the standard feet on other turntables.
