Review: iBasso IT04 – A Big Step

By | October 31st, 2018|Categories: Headfonia|Tags: , , , , , , , |

We are finally looking at the iBasso’s flagship In Ear Monitor, the iBasso IT04, and it surely is a great step forward for the brand.

Disclaimer: The iBasso IT04 was sent to me by the company itself for this review and iBasso is not affiliated with Headfonia in any way. The official price for the IT04 is 499$. I did not receive the consumer box so I can’t comment on the package content. The Sony WM1A Walkman is the source used for sound evaluation. Read the full article

Picture Sunday: iBasso IT04

By | August 5th, 2018|Categories: Headfonia|Tags: , , , , , , , |

Disclaimer: The iBasso IT04 was sent us directly from iBasso. This is a Picture Sunday post where we take a quick preview of various gear before their full review. You can take a look at our other Picture Sunday posts HERE.

Not too long ago, iBasso started to work on the IEM market. Yet, it’s been a swift and influential campaign. Their first model, the IT03 was great and impressive for a “first effort”. Unfortunately we couldn’t review that one before (thank you FedEx!!) but we managed to get the IT04 directly from Paul.… Read the full article

Picture Sunday – iBasso DX200

By | July 1st, 2018|Categories: Headfonia|Tags: , , , , , , |

Disclaimer: the iBasso DX200 is my own and we didn’t get it via iBasso like the DX150. The review of that latest will up on Headfonia reasonably soon.

When Ibasso released the DX80, I was a bit perplexed. It didn’t have the appeal the first generation DX50 and DX90 had. These were a must have when they were launched, and yet the DX80 sold like hot cakes. Sure, sound was nice but the design was half-assed, UI was strange to use and it never really fitted in my hand correctly, leaving me with a bad after-taste.… Read the full article

Picture Sunday: iBasso IT01

Disclaimer: Today’s Picture Sunday post features the iBasso IT01, the 100$ entry-level IEM from iBasso. To check out our latest Picture Sunday posts click here.

THE BUDGET KING?

Just like FiiO, iBasso is one of the brands that started to produce IEMs in recent past. Before the iBasso IT01, their IT03 was a big hit, and I myself can confirm it’s indeed a fabulous IEM with a great fit and sound performance. Sadly, we don’t receive any samples from them and we can’t figure out why.… Read the full article

It was perhaps inevitable that iBasso would release a new DAP at the tail end of last year given the rash of next gen DAP’s released by the likes of FiiO and the X5ii and X7 as well as the sensibly priced Pioneer XDP-100R. Those looking from the outside in had already presumed this would be the next stage in the ‘phony FiiO war’ and started pushing out the predictable memes.… Read the full article
