Wrath of the Titans: Audeze LCD2 vs LCD3 & Burson Conductor vs M2Tech Vaughan

Hello again guys,

Sometimes I think I need to go to a upgradatis detox clinic.  I am very happy with what I have, but somehow I am curios to hear other headphones, to experience different sound presentation, to find better quality, etc.

I was already thinking of another headphone as a future goal. I took hifiman he6 off the list, as I don’t want to get an amplifier just for them. Some say that Conductor or Soloist drive them well. I don’t know how that is possible, but maybe as Nelson Pass said : The first watt is the most important watt.Read the full article

Hello guys!

So…my dream system was completed. I had a very good pair of headphones (Audeze LCD2), the one I dreamed about for one year, and I recently got a really good source and really good amplifier for it (Burson Conductor). I was really pleased with all I had:

Success Grandpa

However, after a while…i realized that , even though at home I had my dream system, at work I didn’t have anything to listen to…and that started to bother me.… Read the full article

Hello guys!

Hold on tight cause this will be about an amazing peace of audio gear.

Well, a few months ago, I was very happy with my combo ( Burson HA-160DS and LCD2). I thought this will be it for a loong time… Who was I kidding??

One day Sandu (Darku) contacts me very happy saying that he has received the new Burson Conductor to write a review for soundnews.ro . He already had the Burson Soloist for a review and considered it to be an excellent product, and he expected a lot from the new all in one product from Burson .… Read the full article

I’m always cruising Ebay for interesting stuff, and I when I find something really good, I like to let you know about it.

Amsterdam-based Ebay seller voossie03 offers this fantastic Meccano Sheba and Meccano Magician.

According to the Meccano Wikipedia page, Meccano was founded in England in 1901 by Frank Hornby (who also founded Dinky Toys).

The current Ebay “Buy it Now” price for the Sheba is $1200 US and the Magician is $ 1300 US.… Read the full article

The Fellowship of the Broken Wallets

By | January 3rd, 2013|Categories: DAC - Headmania|Tags: , , , , , , , , , |

Well I couldn’t stop myself from writing 2 posts in one day, so this is the story of  one of the most important components I had over time the Burson HA-160DS.

It was one normal day at work. In a break I talked with Sandu about some stuff. It was then when he told me that HeadFonia had a photo contest where you could win one Burson HA-160DS.  The contest was about girls and headphones. The photos should have contained beautiful girls and rare headphones would have been a plus.… Read the full article
