Unison Research Unico Primo Integrated Amplifier

unisonresearch_unicoprimo

Ken Micallef has posted a review of the Unison Research Unico Primo integrated amplifier ($2400) at Stereophile. His conclusions:

“The Primo wowed me with its ability to ally impact with resolution, and visceral dynamics with graceful detail and musicality. That it failed to resolve the deepest low-end notes with equal gumption in no way detracted from its overall appeal. Rather, the Primo delighted with its cohesive strengths, and so achieved a kind of holistic presence.”

Jim Austin has posted a review of the PS Audio PerfectWave P10 Power Plant AC Regenerator ($4999) at Stereophile. His conclusions:

” I knew it was possible that fixing my power would make my music cleaner and more accurate. What I didn’t anticipate was that it would make the music so much more engaging. Maybe more accurate is more engaging—an appealing thought. Anyway, the PerfectWave P10 Power Plant may be an essential accessory for any audiophile who lives in a neighborhood like mine.”

Anthony Nicosia has posted a review of the McIntosh C22 tube preamplifier ($6000) and MC75 monoblock tube amplifier ($7500/pair) at Enjoy the Music. His conclusions:

“This combination of C22 preamplifier and MC75 amplifiers was a joy to have in my home. Not only did they sound marvelous but their throw-back look took me back to a time of my youth that was wonderful to remember. While it is impossible to go back to those days it certainly is possible to purchase these units with which to enjoy music today.”

yaraudio_bespoke

Alan Sircom has posted a review of the YAR Audio loudspeakers at Hi-Fi+. His conclusions:

“High-end audio doesn’t have the same marketing abilities of other luxury sectors (not simply advertising budget, but where every Ferrari, Rolex, or Leica owner is effectively a little marketing machine for these companies by simply driving a Ferrari, wearing a Rolex, or taking photographs on a Leica), so riding on the literal coat-tails of another luxury market helps all of high-end audio, not simply YAR Audio.”

Alan Sircom has posted a review of the Moon Audio Neo ACE integrated amplifier-DAC ($3500) at Hi-Fi+. His conclusions:

“This is the best bit because it retains all the characteristic Moon Neo performance parameters: a deeply unfatiguing yet remarkably satisfying sound, with an extremely large, walk-in-and-make-yourself-comfortable soundstage, excellent precision of dynamic range, image placement, detail, and timing, and that sense of musical ‘structure’ rising out of a very dark background.”

Burmester Phase 3 Music System

burmester_phase3

Alan Sircom has posted a review of the Burmester Phase 3 music system (£23,800) at Hi-Fi+. His conclusions:

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Burmester Phase 3. It needs no excuses made for its performance, because it’s a true high-end system in a box (well, two crates actually). A lot of systems with similar intent trade performance for convenience, but Phase 3 gives you both. Is this the future of high-end? Very possibly, and for that Phase 3 comes highly recommended.”

Herb Reichert has posted a review of the Zu Audio Soul Supreme loudspeakers ($4500/pair) at Stereophile. His conclusions:

“Your ears, heart, and mind are far more sensitive and sophisticated measuring tools than any ‘scope, calibrated mike, or analyzer—trust them. In my rustic hermitage, and to my ears and heart, Zu Audio’s Soul Supremes delivered copious amounts of savory musical connectedness.”
