Several AV enthusiasts were treated to a visual feast at the AV Designs’ showroom off Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, last Thursday as the world’s first 8K e-shift JVC home theatre projector was launched in Malaysia. The AV enthusiasts also had the honour of being the first Malaysians to watch the JVC DLA-NX9 projector in action.

JVC’s DLA-NX9 projector, touted to be the world’s first 8K/e-shift home theatre projector will be launched in Malaysia by the end of this year.

 

Steven Woo of Klingen & Erles, the Malaysian distributor, said he will be bringing in the JVC DLA-NX9 projector in October or November.

 

He is planning to launch it in a special event in Kuala Lumpur. Details of the launch event have not be finalised yet and will be announced later.… Read the full article

In a recent announcement JVC revealed it is ready to release three new home theatre projectors that offer native 4K resolution. Yes, native 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution, not 1920 x 1080p upscaled or, in JVC’s technical parlance ‘e-shift’ to 3840 x 2160 resolution.

 

There are three models that should be made available anytime soon and one of the three is even capable of ‘e-shifting’ its native 4K 3640 x 2160 resolution to 8K.… Read the full article

Visitors to the Sharp exhibit at this year’s KL International AV Show 2018 in July 20 – 22 should be able to sample the company’s latest version of its 8K up scaled android UHDTVs, the XU930X and the XU 830X.

 

According to Sharp these second generation of its 8K UHDTVs utilizes its proprietary X8 Master Engine Pro video upscaling video processing unit in tandem with its Quattron Pro panel to achieve an 8K resolution (7680 x 4320 pixels) effect.… Read the full article
