Fraunhofer IIS MPEG-H Authoring Plugin Now Available for Download

By | September 17th, 2018|Categories: Fraunhofer|Tags: , , , , |

At the 51st annual IBC Show in Amsterdam from September 14-18, 2018, Fraunhofer IIS is proud to announce the availability of the MPEG-H Authoring Plugin. TV broadcast professionals can download the plugin, which enables the creation of MPEG-H Audio scenes, from the Fraunhofer IIS website. MPEG-H Audio supports several use cases for interactivity of objectbased audio, such as defining of switching groups or presets for selection by the end-user. MPEG-H metadata contains all relevant information for reproduction and rendering in arbitrary reproduction layouts: information about the audio components inside the bit stream and their hierarchical structure, as well as restrictive metadata by which the content creator can allow or limit the interactive possibilities that can be accessed by the consumer.… Read the full article
