A Duelund DCA tinned-copper cables comparison for the Duelund-Altec Project – the adventure continues!

As you know if you’ve been reading along, I’ve been experimenting with different combinations of the Duelund DCA tinned-copper tone cables for the Duelund-Altec Project (HERE), both as speaker cables and for connecting the Duelund CAST tinned-copper crossovers to the Altec 804A 16-Ohm compression drivers.

I’ve already settled in on the Duelund DCA16GA tinned-copper cable for connecting the breadboarded Duelund CAST tinned-copper crossovers to the Altec 803B 16-Ohm bass drivers, so at this point its just down to deciding on which of the DCA cable combinations to use for speaker cables and for connecting the Altec 804A 16-Ohm compression drivers. … Read the full article

The Duelund Coherent Audio DCA16GA Premium Tinned-Copper 'Vintage Tone' Cable

Frederik Carøe in Denmark knocked me out with his amazing Duelund Coherent Audio CAST capacitors, inductors, resistors, and autoformers that I wrote about in Issue 70 and Issue 74 of Positive Feedback as part of the Duelund-Westminster Royal SE loudspeaker project, and now Frederik has done it once again with his superb Duelund Coherent Audio DCA16GA premium tinned-copper ‘vintage tone’ cable, which I have had fantastic results with as both speaker cables and as RCA interconnects.

Frederik worked closely with a specialty manufacturer to develop the 26-strand, 0.25mm diameter, tinned-copper conductors used in the Duelund Coherent Audio DCA16GA wire.… Read the full article
